Group Life

The larger gatherings of the church provide a unique spiritual connection as we join our voices in worship and hear God’s Word speak to us.

However, this becomes most powerfully realized in smaller relationally sized groups.

It is in smaller groups that we EMBODY the new life united in God’s grace… that we CONNECT  personally as we share and support real life… and that we GROW in understanding through engaging  God’s Word and Spirit together.

The choice to take the next step to connect and grow is yours. We believe it is one of the most valuable steps you will take.

Child Dedication

We are called to recognize that children belong first and foremost to God. God in his goodness gives children as gifts to parents. They not only have the awesome responsibility of caring for this gift, but also the wonderful privilege of enjoying the gift.  The Bible admonishes us to raise our children in the Lord and to establish early in life a foundation based on the truths of the Bible. We believe that a good starting place is child dedication. We are offering a Child Dedication Celebration on Sunday, June 2.  For us it's important that you understand the meaning and purpose of the Child Dedication before registering your child(ren).

Winter Camp (youth)

Winter Camp (youth)

Due to inclement weather conditions in Big Bear this weekend, we have made the difficult decision to cancel Winter Camp. Along with heavy snow, some road closures, electrical outages, and freezing conditions, the camp facility itself has experienced washed out roads which have led to several cabins becoming inaccessible. Safety is of utmost importance to us, and we feel peace that this decision is the best and most responsible choice given the climate and conditions up the mountain. You will receive a full refund for any payments made for Winter Camp.

BUT... We will be hosting a special youth event this Sunday night from 7pm-11pm in our main sanctuary at the Westside Vineyard. This event will be totally FREE. Come out for an awesome night together with pizza, games, extended worship time, and ministry time (just like at camp!)

We are ready for God to move!

Our annual Vineyard Youth Winter Camp is fast approaching.  We will be heading up to Big Bear on President's Day weekend, February 16-18, 2019. This trip is open to all current 6th-12th graders.

Winter Camp is a great opportunity for middle and high school students to join with other teenagers from Vineyard communities around SoCal and gather for spiritual growth, deepening of relationships, mountain memory-making, and maybe some snow!

The cost is $200 (early-bird).  While a slightly higher cost than our Equip summer camp, we add the cost of professional transportation and facilities while there.  We will be staying at Camp Cedar Lake.  We don't want finances to prohibit participation, so partial financial aid is available to qualifying participants. If you're in need of financial assistance, please contact one of our youth pastors.

In our experience, trips like this one can include defining moments for your teenager's faith and spiritual growth.  We encourage you to make this a priority and encourage your child to attend!

The cost will increase to $225 on January 6. Our total capacity is 45 (leaders & students combined).  Register to reserve your spot.

Couples Café (and Childcare)

Marriage has a lot of questions, and sometimes we all need a little help getting clear. Because clarity leads to connection.

We all have things in our lives that weigh us down, and for the most part we are pretty clear on what those things are.  We know the struggles that make our “backpacks” heavy and hard to carry. But often, when we are married, we are not as clear about  what is in our spouse’s “backpack”.  And if we are not careful, we can forget they have one  at all, or at the very least, we can think it is not as heavy as ours.

But the fact is that our spouses have a load of things that can weigh them down.  Things that make their lives harder. And research shows that couples in great marriages have a clear awareness of what is going on with each other, including the things that are weighing them down.

Join us at Couples Cafe on Friday night, November 9th at 7pm for a fun night as we celebrate the ending of summer, concentrate on our marriages, and hear via video from Ted Lowe as he talks about carrying each others burdens.

Ted says:    “Something happens relationally when we carry part of what is burdening our spouse. When we do chores for each other. When we listen to each other and acknowledge each other and help each other based on what we know—it’s super glue for our marriage.” —Ted Lowe

“What would happen in your house, in your marriage, if you got CLEAR on what is going on with your spouse and then did something to help them?” —Ted Lowe

No need to register for this event.  Just show up.  But if you need childcare, please sign up here for a nominal fee:

Are you wondering who Couples Cafe is for?   Is it for engaged, newly marrieds, couples with kids, couples without kids, empty nesters, couples in crisis - This event is for every married couple, that’s who it’s for.  Can’t wait to see you there.

Men's Breakfast

Shepherd. Savior. Savage.

There’s an aspect of Jesus that has largely been forgotten. As Christians, we tend to present Him as safe and soft. But Jesus wasn’t safe and He certainly wasn’t soft. He was a savage. When it came to sin, shame, and disease – Jesus was willing to do whatever it took to break through religious barriers and transform people’s lives. It’s time to rediscover that Jesus; the unfiltered Jesus that longs to speak into our daily lives. Join us on this journey called Savage Jesus: Bringing The Danger Back To Discipleship by Steven Furtick.

All men are invited. We hope you'll join us for this time of gathering together for a great breakfast, and connection with God and one another. Please purchase a ticket in the lobby today, at the link below, or through our app. Invite a friend!
