Lead Pastor (Communal Teacher, Team Leader and Coach)
Brad Bailey is a native of the Westside of Los Angeles. He graduated from Pacific Palisades High School and San Diego State University. His process of committing his life to Christ involved rebellious teenage years…. and discovering the rather foolish nature of “running from God.” His early years of ministry included that of the local youth and surfing community, providing an "open house" during college years to those in need, and then abroad as part of a church plant for the international community of Geneva, Switzerland followed by living and serving in India.
Brad returned to Southern California to attend Fuller Theological Seminary where he completed a Masters of Divinity in Theology and a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy. During this time he became a part of the Westside Vineyard, in 1987 he joined the pastoral staff and in 1991 accepted the position of Senior Pastor.
Looking back on the years of teenage rebellion he sees how Jesus is the true rebel…the one who confronts the real powers that have ruled us all. From that process, he believes that the call of Jesus is not a call to just be “good” religious people but to receive the power of God to reclaim us as His own… by a love that meets us at the deepest core of our nature. Brad has served the larger Vineyard movement as Area Pastoral Leader and currently as the leader of a U.S. India Partnership.
Now married for over 27 years, Brad’s wife Leah was also born and raised on the Westside. Along with her support of Brad and involvement in the ministry, she enjoys a longstanding career in oncology (cancer) related nursing at UCLA, where she now serves as a Bone Marrow Transplant Coordinator.
The Baileys have four children — Travis, (currently working in Los Angeles), Jackson (college), Cate (high school) and Cole (high school.) Together they enjoy the various activities of their children, date nights at the movies, and experiencing God working amidst life’s chaos.. Email Brad
Pastor of Operations (All Operations, Hospitality, Prayer Ministry Missions, and Young Adult Community)
Pastor Joel was born in Colorado and grew up in New Mexico. He initially experienced God during his childhood, but it wasn’t until college that Joel resolved to following the Way of Jesus.
He was studying music in a conservatory when God began to stir Joel’s heart to be a part of a new work in his own generation. He began working with youth and college students followed by a pastoral internship in New Mexico. Following college, Joel began pastoral ministry in New Mexico, where he spent six years as pastor of youth and worship arts. Having felt God’s call to a new season, in the Fall of 2001 Joel accepted the call to join the pastoral leadership of the Westside Vineyard, with a specific emphasis on raising up and releasing younger lives and leaders.
He remains passionate towards developing people and teams, and he also oversees operations, worship arts, prayer ministries, hospitality teams, emerging generations, outreach initiatives and expressions, and our Mission Advisory Council.
Joel's wife of 22 years, Shannon, studied music at Baylor University and the University of Texas, and she currently enjoys her career as a private voice coach, piano instructor, and owner of a music education studio on the Westside. Joel and Shannon have two children — a son, Andrew, and a daughter, Kaylee. Email Joel

Jonathan was born and raised in Upstate New York. He was raised going to church and was very active in his middle and high school youth group. During his college years, he decided that he was going to follow Jesus with his entire life. This started by playing a major role in planting a church on his college campus at SUNY Oswego.
While he was studying at SUNY Oswego and majoring in Adolescence Education / History, Jonathan answered a call to intern at a church in Southeast Michigan as a worship leader. His internship would have more in store than he initially had thought it would. After his first year there, he decided to step up and offer leadership to a void in the area of student ministries. Jonathan then served in a dual role for almost four years as the Director of Creative Arts/Worship and Student Ministries Leader. Over that course of time, Jonathan began to see God's heart for young people to know and experience Him. And that is what Jonathan wants people to see through his life.
In 2011, Jonathan met Aleigha (you'll have to ask them to tell you the story of that first meeting - it's worth asking them!). In planning and preparing for marriage and new life together, Jonathan and Aleigha prayed earnestly for God to lead them where He wanted them to be. And in this seeking of God's direction, Aleigha was led to move to L.A. in the spring of 2014, and Jonathan was then also called to L.A. in the summer of 2015.
Together, Jonathan and Aleigha have two dogs, which they will frequently refer to as "their boys". They are two German shepherd mixes named Maestro and Sully. Email Jonathan
Pastor of Children & Middle School (Director of the Learning Zone)
Ron was born and raised in the Northwest Indiana suburbs of Chicago. He was baptized Greek Orthodox and went to church every Christmas and Easter. For Ron, God was always like that one buddy you text a couple times each year, maybe talk to once in a while… but you don’t get too deep.
Eleven years ago, Ron made a willful decision to get to know Jesus in a sincere way; that’s when he realized God is truly real, alive and had been waiting for this moment to change Ron’s life forever.
God was way active before that... and deep down, Ron actually knew it. It was all God when Ron decided to make a quick move back to the Midwest after college in New York City... and all God when he met his wife Tosha while they were both working at Chili’s in Hobart, Indiana. Ron thought he was moving with Tosha to LA in 2000 to become a big time Hollywood actor/director/producer/writer, but it was actually God setting him up to put the truest call on his life he ever experienced. Ron heard the loudest, clearest voice when Jesus called him to ministry with kids.
The first third of Ron’s life was spent thinking about anything but being a pastor. But that didn’t stop God. Jesus gave Ron another shout about five years ago, calling him to pastoral leadership. With Holy Spirit’s guidance and loving swift kicks, Pastor Marlo Blandford’s caring discipleship and mentorship, great classes and teachers at Harvest Bible University in DTLA and Vineyard Institute online, Ron’s done his best to faithfully answer God’s call. He now spends all of his time “working” with people ages 0-14 and loves every second of it.
Ron's wife, Tosha, shines her light at Beauty Bus Foundation in Santa Monica, and his son, Nikko, shines his at Kester Elementary School and various athletic fields around town. Email Ron

His new role as Pastor of Comunidad Viña begins early 2017, and he is so excited and humbled to serve. Kevin’s wife, Esther Ibarra and kids Abby (9) and Kevin Jr. (5) take on this new journey with a mixture of humbleness and tenacity. They are excited to see what God will do in this new season of Comunidad Viña and in themselves in this voyage!
